The beach consists almost entirely of gravel, but is almost deserted. There are also some sections of sand around Kastelli. The hinterland impresses with a green landscape, olive trees as far as the eye can see. The White Mountains dominate in the background. The Rodoupou peninsulas in the north and the wild Gramvoussa in the south give the bay a tremendous setting. Both peninsulas are hardly inhabited. On the Gramvousa peninsula there are fantastic bathing bays with crystal clear water. The turquoise blue lagoons invite you to unforgettable bathing pleasure.

- Polirinia. The village is about 7 km inland from Kastelli-Kissamos on a hill. The Dorians had built this city and Kastelli was the port city that went with it. A visit to this village is worthwhile not only because of its archaeological site, but also because of the wonderful view of the Gulf of Kissamos.
