Kamperland is a village on North Beveland in the Dutch province Zeeland. The village is located on the north shore of the Veerse Meer. Wissenkerke, the administrative center of Noord-Beveland, is located in the vicinity of Kamperland.
background
The old village of Campen on the opposite bank of (Camp) Veere fell victim to the floods in 1539. Today's Kamperland is the youngest village in Noord-Bevelands. It was created after 1750 on the Veerweg to Veere. Agriculture has always provided bread on the table. Nowadays tourism also brings the desired toppings for bread. No wonder with such a good location on the Veerse Meer, it is teeming with water sports activities. In the main season it can be very busy here.
