Urban centers
- Kapa`a - The center with the largest number of inhabitants on the Coconut Coast how is this stretch of eastern coast with inexpensive hotels called. Perhaps it is also for this reason that the Coconut Coast is always crowded beyond measure.
- Lihu`e - The international airport is located in Lihu`e. It is a place to stop for shopping in one of its malls and also for a visit to the Kaua`i museum.
- Po`ipu - On the southern side Po`ipu is the major tourist center. There are large hotel chains such as Hyatt, Hilton and Sheraton.
- Princeville - An exclusive center frequented by golf lovers but also an ideal base for excursions to some beautiful beaches on the north coast such as Hanalei,, Lumahai, Tunnels, Ke'e beaches and Na Pali.
- Waimea - Waimea is the base for excursions to the canyon of the same name.
