background

Kenting is one of the most popular travel destinations in Taiwan. The region around the town of Kenting offers beautiful artificial sandy beaches for swimming and various small nature parks. Especially on weekends and during the holidays it is difficult to get places or rooms.

landscape

In addition to rugged cliffs made of coral rock, the landscape includes beaches, forests and small mountains.

Flora and fauna

Mostly tropical plants can be found in the national park. The region is known for its rose apples, which you should definitely try. Of the fauna, one notices above all the intrusive monkeys in the mountains and during spawning time thousands of crabs come ashore to lay their eggs in the forests. All other animal species, which are often rare, are rarely seen due to the crowds of tourists.

climate

Subtropical-tropical: Due to the warm ocean currents that pass the coast, the water is approx. 25 ° C.

getting there

The best and fastest way to get there is from Kaohsiung to Kenting. Here you can choose between the long-distance bus from the main station, the car or, if you like it sporty, the bike. The car is the best option, as you can drive to anything that you unfortunately cannot do on the bus.
