Kerch (soot.: Керчь) is a city on the peninsula Crimea, at the Black Sea.

By plane

The city has a small airport but no regular flights.

The nearest airports:

• Option: get by plane to Simferopol airport (220 km from Kerch) and then by bus or by car.
• Option: to Anapa Airport (127 km from Kerch) with Caucasian part of the Kerch Strait and go by bus or by car to transport the Crimean Caucasus. The traveler must have a passport and visa.
• Variant: also not the above path from Krasnodar Airport (243 km from Kerch).

By train

Via Kerch, Highway E97 passes, connects the M-17 road from Crimea and the M25 road from Kuban.

By bus

Kerch to the bus station. Bus terminal is a passage for buses bound for the ferry connection from Crimea-Caucasus.

Option: All buses in the Krasnodar Territory in Crimea pass through Kerch. There are direct flights from Novorossiysk, Krasnodar, Anapa, Crimea.

• John the Baptist Church from the 10th century.

Monuments

• Panticapaeum - Ruins of an ancient city (5th century BC – 3rd century AD), a former capital of the Kingdom of Bosporus and Tsarskiy Kurghan (4th century BC) - Burial mound for one of the Bosporian kings; Pantikapaeum is not in the best condition as everything of interest was located in museums in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, London, Paris and Berlin, but it is still worth a look.
• Kerch fortress built by the Russian military architect Totleben in the mid-19th century after the Crimean War to defend the empire's borders. Above all, it is a very interesting place located at Cape Ak-Burun.
• Mount Mithridates - a hill with a picturesque view of the city. The great Mithridates staircase with 428 tracks leads to the top of the hill. '"The Monument of Fame"' (1944, built after WWII) is on top.
• Yeni Kale Fortress
