The Small Carpathians are a low mountain range in the SlovakiaOn the southeast side there are numerous vineyards and vineyards. In addition to many opportunities for hiking, this mountain range is a popular excursion area for cyclists. However, there are no specially developed bike paths.

- 1 Lookout point. A wooden tower approx. 20 m high, with a view over a large part of the Little Carpathians. From the parking lot there is a 3 km path with an ascent of approx. 300 m. At the lookout tower there are stone borders, which are sometimes used for grilling and you can grill your own sausages with you.

Castles and Palaces
As elsewhere in Slovakia, there are some castles and palaces to see, restored or in ruins.
- 2 Červený Kameň Castle. The castle is impressive from the outside, but does not offer any exciting views. Likewise the interior of the courtyard. The only place in the yard, a cafe, closes at 5:00 p.m. Several peacocks move in the yard.
- 4 Smolenický zámok. Pretty castle, which is a bit reminiscent of a Sleeping Beauty castle because of the small size, the several round towers with wooden shingles and the closed wall. Also instead of roses the castle is overgrown with ivy. Interesting space. Because of the lack of water, the dishes in this castle supposedly had to be cooked with wine. Guided tour approx. 1/2 hour, with ascent to the main tower and sometimes as far as the Great Carpathians with a good view. € 2.50. Guided tour in Slovak, but with an accompanying booklet in German. Parking approx. 400 m in front of the castle.

- 5 Driny cave. Cave with small and few stalactites and stalagnites. From the parking lot approx. 1 km uphill. Entry 6, - €. Guided tour only at set times, last tour 2.30 p.m. Guided tour in Slovak only, duration approx. 1/2 hour. Sometimes a sleeping bat at eye level. At the parking lot there is a relatively inexpensive, rustic restaurant with good food.
