The Republic Komi (Республика Коми) located in Northwest Russia. To the west of it lies the oblast Arkhangelsk, south are the oblast Kirov, the region Perm and the oblast Sverdlovsk. In the east are the autonomous districts of the Chanting and manners and the Yamal-Nenets, in the north is the Autonomous Okrug Nenets.
