Tourist Attractions

  • 1  Kremsmünster Abbey. The Kremsmünster Abbey, founded in 777, is the most important attraction. It is one of the most important baroque buildings in Austria, it houses a large library and the famous Tassilo chalice.
  • 2  Kremsmünster observatory. Erected from 1749 to 1758 is the Math tower the oldest skyscraper in Europe (50 m), it stands on the monastery grounds and houses an observatory and natural history collections.
