Kremsmünster is a market town in Upper Austria about 35 km southwest of Linz, in the valley of the Krems, with about 7,000 inhabitants.

Tourist Attractions
- 1 Kremsmünster Abbey. The Kremsmünster Abbey, founded in 777, is the most important attraction. It is one of the most important baroque buildings in Austria, it houses a large library and the famous Tassilo chalice.
- 2 Kremsmünster observatory. Erected from 1749 to 1758 is the Math tower the oldest skyscraper in Europe (50 m), it stands on the monastery grounds and houses an observatory and natural history collections.
