Krk is a Croatian city on the island of the same name in the Kvarner Bay.

With 6,243 inhabitants (as of 2011), Krk is the largest city on the island of the same name. It is the political and administrative center of the island. The city was founded in the 10th century BC. By plane
The island has the Rijeka International Airport (Croatian: Zracna luka Rijeka) in the northeast. It has connections with numerous European airports, including Frankfurt am Main, Cologne / Bonn, Berlin, Munich and Stuttgart in Germany. Especially in the summer months there are regular flight connections, which are primarily offered by cheap airlines such as Ryanair, Condor or Croatia Airlines. Rijeka and the airport of the same name are only around 25 km from the city of Krk and there are regular bus connections between the two cities.
