Krvavec - Krvavec

Krvavec is a holiday destination In Slovenia and it is the second largest ski resort in the country. Krvavec is located away from the cities, the nearest town Kranjiin is 25 km away.

By car and taxi

You are not allowed to drive to the ski center by private car or taxi, but you can leave your car in the Planina Jezerca car park, a 2 km walk from Krvavec. Taxis from the airport should be booked in advance.

By bus

In winter you can reach Krvavec From Ljubljana Operated by Alpetour by ski bus, which moves very limitedly (on weekends and holidays).[1]

With cable lift

There is a cable car to Krvavec, with parking spaces at the lower station. The lift is open in winter and summer. It is not operational between winter and summer (see cable lift opening hours.)

There are ski lifts in the area, which are open during the ski season as well as in summer.

Tea

Hike in the surrounding mountain scenery (see walking paths).

  • 1 Vrh Korena. Mountain peak at an altitude of 1999 meters. A shorter but steeper route passes through Zvoh. A longer and easier route goes through Planina Korena.
  • 2 Planina Koren. Mountain meadow. In the area there is a chalet Koča Koren.
  • 3 Zvoh. Next to the top ski lift station is a tiny lake and a spectacular mountain landscape.
  • 4 Compote. Mountain peak at an altitude of 1989 meters.

Buy

There are no shops in the area. There is a coffee and snack vending machine in the upper station of the cable car to the ski resort (next to Hotel Rozka).

Eat

  • Hotel Rozka, soup costs a few euros, dinner (meat food, salad, dessert) is 8 €.

Sleep

  • 1 Hotel Krvavec.
  • 2 Hotel RozkaP Geography 3 b.png. Clean, interior simple, central heating and a bath can dry clothes with a radiator. The price includes breakfast (tea, white bread, cold cuts, cheese, spreads.)
