kuldīga (German: Goldingen) is a city in western Latvia with approximately 13,500 inhabitants, located in the region of Courland (Kurzeme) on the river Venta.

Kuldīga was first mentioned in 1242 and became a member of the Hanseatic League in 1368. From 1596 to 1616 it was the capital of the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia.

The town has a well-preserved historic center and is sometimes called the Venice of Latvia, because of the prominent role of the river Alekšupīte.
- Ventas rumba - A 240 meter wide natural waterfall in the Venta, which is locally considered the widest waterfall in Europe. However, its height is only one meter. It is the main attraction in Kuldīga.
