Kutaiso (kartvele: ქუთაისი Kutaisi) is the second largest city of Georgia, located in the west of the country (Imeretio), on the river Rioni. It has an international airport and two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery, outside the city.

Kutaisi has a small international airport (mud: KUT), 14 km to the west. Wizz Air offers cheap flights from many European cities to Kutaisi.
The company GeorgianBus provides a bus connection from the airport to Kutaisi for 5 lari, to any address you request. It also offers direct buses to Tbilisi and Batumo.

Bagrati Cathedral
- Bagrati Cathedral (ბაგრატის ტაძარი): Built in the 11th century, it has been repeatedly damaged in its history and renovated over the last hundred years.
- Synagogue, Boris Gaponov Street.
- Georgia Parliament: it was built in 2012 to decentralize the country, but at the end of 2018 the parliament was moved back to Tbilisi.

Bagrati Monastery
- Gelati Monastery (გელათის მონასტერი): it was founded in 1106 by King David the Builder. Buses drive from behind the Meshishvili Theater at 10:00, 12:00, 14:00, 16:00, 18:00 for two laris.
