La Boca is one of the 48 districts into which the autonomous city of Buenos Aires.

La Boca is one of the most picturesque neighborhoods in Buenos Aires but also one of the most dangerous. It is located on the southeastern edge of the city. It is known among sportspeople for hosting the Bombonera, the football stadium where the Boca Juniors team trains.
Riachuelo is one of the areas of La Boca most visited by passing tourists as it is closely linked to the history of tango. One of the most characteristic places in the barrio it is calle Caminito. On Sundays it is easy to see couples of young people who engage in dances on the sidewalk of the calle to the delight of passers-by.
Another tourist spot in La Boca is the riverside, renovated and equipped with embankments to ward off the curse of the floods. Another activity of tourists passing by with a passion for football is following a game at the Boca Juniors stadium nicknamed La Bombonera for its particular shape. The audience attending the matches of their favorite team is a spectacle in itself. The joy of the fans at every goal scored by Boca Juniors is manifested by the launch of firecrackers, flares, streamers, confetti and sprinkles of fire canisters.
Another place not to be missed is the Usina de las Ideas, a cultural center and performance hall inaugurated in 2011 and destined to be the headquarters of the Buenos Aires Philharmonic Orchestra.
