Route description with sights
The high Vosges are sparsely populated and therefore there are only a few small towns. The focus is on the forest, the mountains and the rivers.
Corner points of the route
- Bussang (568 m above sea level) - with the Moselle spring approx. 4 km away.
- Le Thillot - there is an Aldi market (almost next to the bike path)
- Rupt-sur-Moselle
- Vecoux - about here you branch off into the wooded and quieter Moselotte valley. The cyclist roundabout is worth seeing.
- → Detour Remiremont (388 m above sea level) - The disused route ends at the station, the continuation continues to be used by the SNCF.
- Vagney - a deep gorge follows on the left
- Saulxures sur Moselotte
- Cornimont (493 m above sea level) - from here you can cycle over the mountains to Le Thillot, if that's not too steep for you. The Voie Verte ends here. A signposted route follows the Moselotte 8 km further
- La Bresse (580 m above sea level)
Note: If you are familiar with the route, remove the heading "Key points of the route" and replace this section with a detailed route description with stages. It is best to simply work the place names into the stages. You can find instructions on how to do this here .
An example of a fully developed cycle route with stages is here to find.
