Mulhouse (Milhüsa in the local dialect and Mulhouse [myluz] in French) is one french City in the department Haut-Rhin, in the Alsace.
background
The second largest city in Alsace, it is also the capital of the arrondissement of Mulhouse and the administrative seat of four cantons.
The city lies on the Ill and the Rhine-Rhone Canal on the border between the Upper Rhine Plain and the Sundgau. The city received the nickname because of its strong industrialization City of a Hundred Chimneys or french manchester '. Nevertheless, the city is an important tourist destination, if only because of its museums, and the city center has also been successfully embellished.

By plane
The local airport EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg(IATA: BSL, MLH, EAP) is located 20 km southeast of Mulhouse. From the airport you can take bus 11 (runs every quarter of an hour, fare € 2.50) to the train station Saint-Louis, from there with the regional train to Mulhouse. It takes about half an hour by car. A taxi costs around 50 euros.
By train
The 1 Mulhouse train station can be reached every hour from Strasbourg or Basel with the TER200. There are also several connections to the diesel car known as the "blue whale" Muellheim (Baden) in the Markgräflerland or directly after Freiburg. There are also TGV to Paris and Eurocity on this route, with a stop in Mulhouse. Most connections from Germany lead via Strasbourg, connections from Switzerland lead via Basel. There is a daily direct TGV connection from Frankfurt / Main in just under 3 hours.

The international cycle route EuroVelo 6 passes the city south. Fast connection to Basel on a good route.
mobility
There are three tram lines in Mulhouse. They open up, among other things, the Cité du Train, with line 3. Lines 1 and 3 stop at the station. Line 2 connects the northeast with the southwest of the city. There is also the tram-train Mulhouse-Vallée de la Thur which follows the valley of the Thur Thann opens up.

- 1 Temple Saint-Etienne, 12 Place de la Réunion, 68100 Mulhouse. The reformed St. Stephen's Church. The neo-Gothic building was built between 1858 and 1868 on the site of the previous building on Place de la Réunion. Today it serves as an exhibition space.
