The Markgräfler Land is in the extreme southwest of Baden-Wuerttemberg.

The Rhine Valley Railway offers good connections with long-distance traffic from the direction of Karlsruhe above Offenburg and Freiburg to Basel, as well as the Hochrheinbahn from To sing above Schaffhausen to Basel.
