Laab in the forest is a community in Vienna Woods, with access to Lainzer Tiergarten.

Laab is located in a side valley of the Liesingbach valley. The Lower Austrian part of the Lainzer Tiergarten belongs to Laab and is accessible directly north of the village via the Laaber Tor. The village was first mentioned in 1200. The second Viennese spring water pipeline runs through the community. In 1938 Laab was incorporated into Greater Vienna together with numerous other surrounding communities, but in 1954 it was outsourced to Lower Austria.

From Airport Wien-Schwechat best with the S-Bahn S7 to Rennweg or with a long-distance train to Vienna-Meidling. In both cases, continue from there by S-Bahn to Vienna-Liesing and then continue with the 253 regional bus to Laab.

With public transport

The VOR regional bus 253 connects Laab im Walde with the Vienna-Liesing and Tullnerbach-Pressbaum train stations. The bus runs about once or twice an hour on weekdays; every hour on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
