Since 2018 there has been a bus between Kashgar (China) and Lahore. Travel time 36 hours, fare 13,000 PKR (one way) or 23,000 PKR (h r). Departures from Lahore Sat, Sun, Mon, Tue; Departures from Kashgar Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri. [1]

The first line of the metro started regular operations in March 2020:

  1. Orange Line: Ali Town Terminal via inner-city Lake Road (Anarkali Station), GPO (Central Station), Lakshmi Chowk, Lahore Junction Station Lahore Junction to Dera Gujran Terminal.
  2. Blue line: under construction
  3. Purple line: under construction, connection to the airport planned

Lahore Metrobus

Lahore Metrobus is a express bus system, with its own lane along 29 km of Ferozepur Road and modern air-conditioned buses. The average speed of 28 km / h, which is sensational for Lahore, is reached. Either you buy a chip for a single trip at the machine for a price of Rs 30 or a prepaid card (Rs 130), which can also be used in the feeders and the metro.
