Le Faouët (Morbihan) is a french City in the department Morbihan, in the Brittany. The Breton name is Ar Faoued (translated Buchenhain).

Politically, the municipality belongs to the Arrondissement de Pontivy, and is the administrative center of the Canton du Faouët.

From 1845 to 1845 the place was one of the most important meeting places for artists in Cornouaille. Germain David-Nillet, Arthur Midy and Marius Borgeaud, for example, worked here.
