Get in
The town is located some 20km south of Tampere, and most trains and buses going to Helsinki and Turku stop there. Buses from Turku stop at Lempäälä th (Ryynikkä), most buses from Helsinki stop near Ideapark shopping center at Ideapark mt 130, some of them use highway stop Lempäälä Vaihmala liittymä 34.
Tampere local bus network Nysse serves Lempäälä well having some services even to ruralside.
The main freeway south from Tampere also passes a few kilometers east of the town itself and next to Ideapark. Tampere-Pirkkala airport is about 15km north.

- 1 Lempäälä Canal. This late 19th century canal connects the lakes Vanajavesi and Pyhäjärvi. It used to be an important transport route, but nowadays it's used mostly by leisure boats and lake cruises in the summer.

The massive Ideapark mall is likely Lempäälä's biggest attraction
- 1 Ideapark, Ideaparkinkatu 4, Lempäälä. Mon-Fri 10-20, Sat 10-18, Sun 12-18. The largest mall in the Nordic region with a special focus on furniture, interior decoration and clothing. Has a few cheap dining options. Located along the Tampere-Helsinki motorway in Lempäälä south of Tampere, frequent bus/coach connections exist.
