Limburg was divided between Belgium and the Netherlands in 1839 and thus today consists of the provinces of the same name in both countries.

language

The official language is Dutch. In the cities you can often get on with German or English. Because of the language dispute, the use of French is not welcomed.

The best way to get from Brussels is via the A314, from Germany via Aachen and Maastricht.
