Litochoro is close to the coastline Rail connectionThessaloniki - Athens. The 1 railway station however, it is 4 km from the city center on the coast. Either you call a taxi or walk 500 m to the next bus stop, where a bus to Litochoro goes up every hour.
An alternative is the regular bus from Katerini, which leaves from the central bus station in Katerini.

You get to the village past military terrain (do not take photos), parking spaces are along the main road at the entrance to the village, a signposted free parking lot is on the northern edge of the village (near the church and town center, at the Olympus approach to Prionia).

The farmers' market always takes place on Mondays south of the town center.
If you go north you can see a beautiful gorge. You just have to go a little north, then it is also signposted. The paths to the spring that supplies the whole area with drinking water are signposted. They are also attached. However, you should wear sturdy shoes because the path is not that easy.
The alleys around the town center are also interesting. Here you get an idea of how the locals live. Everything is narrow and built up, but it's very nice. You should simply treat yourself to a walk beyond the center.

- Alexandrion. A building financed by Greek Macedonians from around the world, the exhibition of which is dedicated to Alexander the Great. It can be found above National Road 1, Athens - Thessaloniki.

The local tavernas cater for Macedonia typical cuisine. You can eat a wonderful Greek farmer's salad, but also souflaki, as it is made here, moussaka and all other traditional dishes. The fast food chains have not yet found their way into Litochoro.
