On the train
- 1 Lausanne station (Gare de Lausanne). There are 4 trains (eurocity) per day from Milano Centrale to Geneva that pass through Lausanne. The trip takes approximately 3 and a half hours. There is also a direct train a day from Venice Santa Lucia station. You can buy tickets simply at the Trenitalia ticket offices, without going to a travel agency. By reserving a seat even just one month in advance, you can buy a ticket from Milan for the modest sum of 22 euros (depending on the seats available at a reduced rate).
