The Luxor temple, Arabic:معبد الأقصر, Maʿbad al-Uqṣur, is an ancient Egyptian temple complex in the city center of Luxor. The temple, dedicated to the god of wind and fertility, Amun, his wife Mut and their son, the moon god Chons, was mainly built in the New Kingdom. The temple is of great importance because of two display cycles, the Opet festival in the colonnade hall and the birth hall.
