Caving, canyoning

The Bauges massif conceals many underground cavities. There are three main sectors:

  • the Margériaz
  • the Revard sector
  • the wood of Pré Poulain

The Margériaz sector is renowned for the length and difficulty of its meanders, making cavities particularly difficult to explore.

Some small canyons:

  • The Devil's Bridge
  • The Ternèze

The most famous and the most interesting is the Devil's Bridge, a very narrow and deep gorge but also very short. However, its visit requires specific equipment and a good knowledge of the activity.
