background
The village itself has little to offer if it weren't for the underground city complex.
This underground city is known so far only as the wild scaffolding of various cave systems that are connected to one another. Almost nothing has been explored here. As a remnant from the attempt to make this cave system accessible to tourism and thus enable the village of Maziköy to share in the income, a few cables, defective lamps and rotten signs are testimony to this. In the village there are guides who use a gas lamp to lead the adventurer through parts of the cave system. This is certainly not without risk, but it is definitely a unique experience.

Of Urgup one drives the country road in the direction Mustafapaşa up to this place you can turn right in the center towards Ayval, Güneyce and Kaymaklı so you come to a T-junction just after Güneyce. If you turn left at this, you will reach the place after approx. 1km.
