33 3 84 73 89 39, email: [email protected] – At the foot of the Jura mountain, Mouchard was once a town that drew a large part of its resources from the forest and woodworking, as the Museum of Wood and Forest explains today. The woodworking trades are presented there through the reconstruction of a 1940s carpenter workshop, and an exhibition of hand tools and old machines. Videos also explain wood processing methods. An exhibition of wooden objects illustrates these artisanal activities. Samples of over 430 different tree species complete the museum's collections. At different stages of the visit, videos to complete the explanatory panels. A wooden construction game awaits the youngest, a prize is awarded to the winner.
