By car
on foot
Through this region runs the European walking route E11. This route runs from the Hague to the east, currently the border Poland/Lithuania. The route can be partly found in this region on internet and enters from the southwest from Friedrichshagen in Berlin/South through a park through the suburbs of Hoppegarten and Neuenhagen. Through a river valley and a forest the route continues past Spitzmühle, a restaurant with limited opening hours and later through the villages of Hegermühle and Garzau-Garzin and then the forests to Buckow, the Märkische Schweiz. From Buckow the route continues eastwards on variously described and signposted routes to Seelow. Seelow is located on the border of the Oderbruch river valley. The route runs for several kilometers along the cliffs of Oderbruch with expansive views and goes east from Dolgelin to Sachsendorf, Rathstock and finally to the Oder. At Reitwein there are facilities and regular public transport. The route continues over a ridge via Podelzig and Lebus to Frankfurt.
