Mérida is a city of Venezuela.

Mérida is the capital of the communes of Libertador and lo been Mérida and also one of the most important cities in the Andean region in Venezuela.
Geographical notes
It is located in the center of the region, between the great mountains of the Sierra Nevada in the east and the Sierra La Culata in the north. The highest peak in the country, Pico Bolivar (4,987 m a.s.l.), is visible in front of the city.
