Like all places in Chalkidikithat begin with Nea- or Neos-, Néa Fókea was only founded after the departure of the Turks, when it was founded after 1916. So you shouldn't expect to find old building fabric here. Although the village is very similar, everything is much newer. Néa Fókea is not a tourist town either, but almost exclusively Greeks live here, who also take care of themselves. Néa Fókea is located directly on the coastal road on the east coast of Kassandra.

The nearest airport is the international one Thessaloniki Airport(IATA: SKG) . From here it takes a good hour by bus to Néa Fókea. It's a good half hour by car.

Néa Fókea is very easy to get to by car. You just drive along the eastern coast road from Kassandria and you come through Néa Fókea. The bus that drives along the coastal road also stops here. You can't really miss it.

Néa Fókea is located directly on the coastal roads in the east of Kassandria. It runs almost directly along the coast. So you can reach Néa Fókea quickly from the north and south. Also the bus to and from Thessaloniki stops here.
Tourist Attractions
There is a small beach right on the main road. it is not open to tourists, but the locals make themselves comfortable here. On the beach there is also a little bumpy parking lot, which should be used with caution, but if you do this it will serve its purpose. There is a small harbor here where a few boats are moored. I was told that it was one of the few ports far and wide where you can refuel your boat. To the north there is a small beach promenade, which is also intended for the locals and is designed exactly that way. In the south there is a small, well-preserved fortification that can be seen. The place invites you to pause, even if the traffic keeps moving in the background.
activities
If you want to know more, just go to Néa Fókea. It is a modern place set up for the Greeks living here. There is no tourism, but there is also hardly any tradition. Néa Fókea is not a traditional place, was only founded after 1900 AD. Instead, it reflects the reality of Greek life at the present time. It is certainly worth getting to know this once, it is very pleasant, definitely not the other side of the coin.

You can go shopping in Néa Fókea, as the Greek housewife does. But they are also increasingly going to Lidl, which is a little further south. There are only those shops here that offer what you need for daily life in Greece.
kitchen
If you go out to eat in Néa Fókea, you can expect simple, honest Greek cuisine. Nothing special and maybe that makes it special. You can sit outside in every tavern, the dishes are the usual suspects, moussaka, suvlaki etc. There is of course red wine.
nightlife
In the taverns there is often a lot going on late in the evening. It is not celebrated here as we know it here, but we sit together for a long time and talk. It can get very heated at times. Greeks can get excited about even the smallest subject. If you want real night life with disco and all the trimmings, you have to go Kallithea (Halkidiki) drive. There is always something going on.
