However, it is also possible to arrive in an all-terrain vehicle. In this case, you can also take a detour to the mountain regions. The cost of such a (half) day tour is around 70 euros. Bedouin drivers can be found in many hotels or at diving centers. They also know their way around the terrain best.

In the area of the mangrove forests there is also the wreck of the 36-year-old who ran aground on April 11, 1956 shortly after midnight in a stormy sea in a sandstorm of magnitude 8 to 10 2 MS "Maria Schröder"(28 ° 11 '26 "N.34 ° 26 '49 "E) of the Hamburg shipping company Richard Schröder. The cargo steamer was coming from Aqaba without a load. The occupation was saved by the Egyptian military. In the past few years the wreck has broken in two.[1]
In the west the deserts, mountains and valleys extend. Animals living here include hyenas, mountain goats, deer, reptiles and birds. This is one of the most famous landscapes Wadi Kid (Access at 1 28 ° 9 ′ 50 ″ N.34 ° 22 ′ 34 ″ E), which is also the largest valley in the reserve.
There are still two Bedouin villages in the nature reserve - one on the coast and one in the mountains. The modern times have of course also arrived in these villages.
