Nador (in tifinagh ⵏⴰⴷⵓⵔ, in Arabic: ناضور) is an Amazigh-speaking port city in the northeast of Morocco, in the Rif region and on the Mediterranean coast (Oriental region) (Bou Areg lagoon).
Understand
Its economic activity is essentially linked to fishing, the fruit trade, metallurgy and smuggling with the Spanish enclave Melilla as well as the transit of Moroccans living abroad via the port of Beni Ansar. The most widely spoken language is Rif; Arabic, although being the official language of Morocco, remains in this region a relatively secondary language.
