The railway line from Nairobi has been rehabilitated and a weekly passenger train is departing Nanyuki Railway station every Sunday at 10:30AM. the fare too Nairobi is 200 Ksh and the trip takes (six hours). However, travelling by train is still much slower compared to taking the bus. the train fare is half the bus fare.
