The Tiveden National Park is a national park in Sweden.

The 13.5 km² national park is located in the area of Västergötland as well as from Nark between the two lakes Vättern and Vänern. The next bigger places are Karlskoga and Akersund as Laxå.
history
The national park was established in 1983.
landscape
There are bizarre rock formations everywhere, which were formed at the time of the last ice age. There are also numerous small lakes. Since agriculture is difficult in the Tiveden area, a primeval forest has formed over time.
Flora and fauna
At the beginning of the last century a rare red subspecies of the white water lily was discovered in several lakes in today's national park. The animal species that apply here include deer and elk as well as martens, lynxes and beavers.

getting there
The Tiveden is off a small road on the E20 Hova - Laxå or Riksväg 49 from Karlsoga - Akersund. Arrival by train or bus is not possible.

There are no fees in the national park.
mobility
There is a ban on motorized vehicles in the entire national park. In Tiveden there are several hiking trails with lengths between 1.5 and 15 kilometers. Furthermore, for the long-distance hiking trail Bergslag Trail through the park. There is a separate bridle path for riders.
