Neuweiler is a beautiful place in the Northern Black Forest.
The old farms and churches as well as the local history museum in Neuweiler are particularly nice to look at. Neuweiler and its suburbs offer a very beautiful landscape.
background
In the neighboring village of Neuweiler, the so-called mountain villages - Aichelberg, Hünerberg, Meistern and Rehmühle, which belonged to Neuweiler until 1850, the Fautsburg ruins can be discovered in the immediate vicinity of Neuweiler. Here sat one of the local nobility for the Neuweiler area. The Fautsburg and the history of the mountain villages are clearly presented with a family-friendly circular hiking trail and information boards.
In addition, Neuweiler, like the entire region in the northern Black Forest, is traditionally associated with forestry and the timber trade. Once upon a time, raftsmen and timber traders set out across the streams and rivers of the northern Black Forest to the Netherlands to sell the long timber there.
The traces of this history can still be found today in the Nagold Valley, the Kleinenz Valley and the Great Enz Valley.
