Nyírbátor is a city in Hungary.

background

First mentioned in a document in 1279, the city received market rights from the king a year later Ladislaus IV. The city is run by noble families, and Nyírbátor is the focus of the region economically and culturally. Today many buildings from yore can be visited and the opportunity to take part in cultural events.

The city is located in the eponymous Nyírbátor small area.
