Nørre Vorupør beach and coast

Nørre Vorupør is a fishing village that has been fishing for over 200 years, still using the beach fishing typical of this region - in the absence of a harbor basin it was and is fished with shallow coastal boats which are then reeled onto the beach with a winch be pulled up. Only the three coastal towns of Jutland are fished in this way, and the beach at Nørre Vorupør with its colorful fishing boats is one of the most popular photo opportunities of this type in the region. The nearest regional airport is Thisted flyplassen, which is halfway between Hanstholm and Thisted. The airport in Aalborg is the closest international airport.

The train station in Thisted is the terminus of the Jutland railway network in the northwest, there are connections to several times a day Struer, the next rail hub in Jutland. The closest stop to Vorupør is Sjørring.

While the sanitary facilities looked very worn and partly shabby, money was asked in return for every little thing (e.g. use of the hotplates).
