Cities
- 1 Pskov (Псков) – administrative capital of Pskov oblast, the city is located 20 km from the border withEstonia, on the Velikaïa river.
- 2 Gdov (Гдов) – Located on the Gdovka River, just two kilometers from its mouth in Lake Peipus, the city has many historical monuments, partially restored after WWII.
- 3 Izborsk – Founded at the beginning of the 7th century on the cape of a lake, the city defended the western borders of the Russia for several centuries.
- 4 Ostrov (Остров) – The town of Ostrov developed around a fortress built in 1342. It has kept several churches, the most important of which is the neoclassical cathedral built in 1790.
- 5 Pechory (Печоры) – The city of Pechory was founded near the famous Pskovo-Pechorsky monastery in the 16th century
- 6 Porkhov (Порхов) – Founded in 1239 by Alexander Nevsky, the city is known for the neoclassical mansions once owned by the Stroganoff and Gagarin families
- 7 Sebej (Себеж) – The city is located in a picturesque setting, between the Sebejskoye and Orono lakes,
- 8 Velikie Louki (Великие Луки) – The city is watered by the particularly winding Lovat river. Its name literally translated is "Grand Meanders". It has a museum dedicated to the Russian composer Modeste Moussorgsky (1839 - 1881)
