Mykolaiv region - one of the 24 circuits Ukraine. It is located in the southern part of Ukraine, on the Black Sea. In the west it borders with Odessa region, in the north with Kirovohrad region, in the east and southeast with Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson.
The capital of the region is Mykolaiv.
The oblast lies on the border of three historical regions: Jedysan (central and southern part), Zaporizhia (northern part) and Podolia (north-western part).
