Akmola region - circuit Kazakhstan. Its capital is Kokchetavinhabited by 124,000 people; a total of 743,800 people live in the region. The capital of Kazakhstan, Astana, is located in the perimeter, but is politically independent of the perimeter. Together with Caraganda region they are the only districts that do not border with other countries. Akmola oblast borders on the south with the Caraganda oblast, in the north with North Kazakhstan Province, from the east with Pavlodar region, and from the west with Custanaan region.
