Öland - an island belonging to Sweden in the Baltic Sea, located off the coast at the south-eastern tip of the country and separated from the mainland by the Kalmar Strait. It is the second largest (after Gotland) the island of Sweden.

Geography
The area of the island is 1,347 km² and the length of the coastline is 496 km. Lowland terrain, with the largest Rösslösa hill reaching 58 m above sea level. It is built of Palaeozoic limestones and marls.
