  • Palm Springs is south of the Joshua Tree National Park, the route is approximately 50 miles east on I10 via Indio to the south entrance or approximately 50 miles northwest on I10 and Hwy 62 via Twentynine Palms to the north entrance.
  • The Mt. San Jacinto National Park is ideal for hiking. Drive about 6 miles west on Hwy 111 to the Aerial Tramway. The Aerial Tramway is a cable car that goes up to Mt. San Jacinto in ten minutes with a very good view over the valley. Ticket 24 USD (as of 2019).
