The east and southeast of the argentinian province Cordoba belongs to the pampa level.
The provincial capital is the largest city and also the biggest tourist attraction Cordoba with their colonial Jesuit buildings. The region is a fertile agricultural area, but the cities also have a lot of industry.

The almost without exception flat region was originally covered by dry forest (Chaco vegetation) with the exception of the extreme southeast, which also belongs geographically to the pampas. However, this was cut down in the course of the 20th century and taken over by agriculture. One speaks of this development avance de la pampa húmeda (Advancement of the damp pampas).
Today the area is characterized by soy cultivation, in the east there is also cattle breeding, partly for milk production. Some cities are dedicated to industry, so sit in Arroyito the global food company Arcor, in Las Varillas agricultural machines are built, and Río Tercero was for a long time the seat of the armaments and railway industry, which, according to government plans, will be revived when the planned high-speed train network (Cobra) will be realized in the second decade of the 21st century.

Córdoba has an international airport and is operated by, among others Uruguay, Brazil, Chile and Panama from. The city's bus station offers connections all over the country, and there is also a train to Buenos Aires and Rosario.
Córdoba can be reached by road via Ruta 9 (from Buenos Aires and from the north), Ruta 35 and 36 (from the south) and Ruta 19 (from the east).
