The east and southeast of the argentinian province Cordoba belongs to the pampa level.

The provincial capital is the largest city and also the biggest tourist attraction Cordoba with their colonial Jesuit buildings. The region is a fertile agricultural area, but the cities also have a lot of industry.

The almost without exception flat region was originally covered by dry forest (Chaco vegetation) with the exception of the extreme southeast, which also belongs geographically to the pampas. However, this was cut down in the course of the 20th century and taken over by agriculture. One speaks of this development avance de la pampa húmeda (Advancement of the damp pampas).

Today the area is characterized by soy cultivation, in the east there is also cattle breeding, partly for milk production.
