To join Las Vegas, here is an exotic itinerary, but requiring some precautions: - Fill up with fuel as soon as you leave the Park before going any further - Make sure you have a spare wheel - Have drinks (and even water for the vehicle depending on the temperature). Know that you will meet many more rabbits than vehicles in this deserted place which is very "Far-West".

  • At the north exit of the Park at Twentynine Palms, turn right onto Amboy Road east which will go north up to Amboy.
  • At Amboy, take the National Trails Highway CR66 east on the right for a few miles, then turn left north on Kelbaker Road (you will be spanned by the Needles Freeway Interstate 40), and continue to Kelso.
  • In Kelso you will take on the right (east), the Kelso Cima Road until Cima.
  • At Cima you will either take a left west or a right east to merge onto Interstate 15 from Barstow Freeway / Mojave Freeway to Las Vegas.
