Mobility

All trails are very well marked with markings of different colors. Some large mountain trails are very steep, and the steel cables are attached to the walls. One of these steep routes is called Chains. 7 cables can be found here. The old chains have been replaced with new steel cables, which are usually in good condition.

The valleys in the north (Zărnești and Plaiul Foii) and in the east (Dâmbovicioara) are more crowded on weekends than the valley in the west from Dâmboviței Bridge to Sătic and Pecineagu Lake. During the week there is silence everywhere.

A new road starts very steep from Dâmbovicioara and goes to Ciocanu and Șirnea, and finally reaches the main road to Brașov. It was built with European funds and should contribute to tourism in the region. It offers a very beautiful view of Pietra Craiului.
