Góra Świętej Anny Landscape Park was established in 1988. It is on average 20 km long and 5 wide. The highest peak of the park is St. Anne's Mountain (404 m above sea level).
Position
The park is located in the central-eastern part of the Opolskie Voivodeship, in two poviats: Strzelecki and Krapkowicki, and in five communes: Leśnica, Gogolin, Strzelce Opolskie, Ujazd and Zdzieszowice. It covers the area of 5,051 ha. The A4 motorway divides the park into two parts: northern and southern.
Flora
About 850 plant species grow in the park, including 35 protected ones.
Fauna
Molluscs are represented here in great numbers by snails. The most common is the grape snail.
Arachnids found their place in the park's beech forests. You can meet very rare representatives of this cluster here.
Butterflies are the most beautiful representatives insects in the park. They can be found mainly in the floristic reserve. Protected species also live here: the queen's page and the sailor's page.
Amphibians are represented in the park by a few and popular species, such as: grass frogs and gray toads.
Among reptiles lizards are the most numerous in the park. Here live, among others: slowworms, sand lizards and viviparous lizards. In addition, we can also meet snakes here: grass snake, zigzag vipers and smooth snakes.
The birds They are represented here by 50 species, mostly common. Birds of prey are usually seen: buzzards, hawks, sparrowhawks, kestrels, and owls: barn owls and tawny owls. Of the rarer birds, woodpeckers can be seen here.
The forest is inhabited by numerous mammals: roe deer, deer, foxes, wild boars, pine martens, dormice, weasels and badgers. The fields are inhabited by: field mice, voles, turf grasslands, ferrets and moles. You can also find voles and dormice here. There are also places of breeding and hibernation in the park bats.
