There are five monasteries here (Goricki Dormition of the Mother of God, Holy Trinity and Daniel Słupnik, St. Theodore Stratylates, St. Nicholas and Nikitsky), the Transfiguration Cathedral from the 12th century (the oldest architectural monument of North-Eastern Ruthenia), the church of St. Peter of Moscow from 1585 and many other churches. In the city center, the city embankment has been preserved, surrounding the historic city center.
