Peyia

Peyia is a city in Cyprus, about 12 km north of Paphos. The city stretches from the mountain slopes towards the coast to the beach Coral Baywho also belongs to the community.

From the mountain slopes you have a great view of Coral Bay and Paphos. The fine sandy beach of Coral Bay is very popular with tourists and many British people have recently settled in the town itself.

Pafos Bird and Animal Park, 6 km outside Coral Bay, Tel. 26-813 852, Fax 26-622 228, open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Park, distant resemblance to Loro Park on the island of Tenerife.

A narrow bridge leads to the petting zoo. There you can feed your own food, this is allowed in the whole park. In a hut right next to it, you can take photos with a snake, parrots and ponies. Since the park is very large, a small golf cart is also available for rent.

The tour continues to a huge crocodile house, in which about 10 animals live, and many bird enclosures with owls, eagles and hummingbirds can be admired. In addition to the flamingos, there are also kangaroos and giant tortoises. Another highlight is the giraffe enclosure.

In addition to a restaurant and a playground, there is also an amphitheater with an hourly parrot and owl show. The parrots show little tricks like riding a bike or flying in a circle around the audience.
