Phang-nga(พังงา) is the capital of eponymous province in Southern Thailand.
The city of Phang-nga itself is relatively bleak if it weren't for the spectacular scenery. It is located on the lower reaches of the Phang-nga River, which branches into a delta here before flowing into the Bay of Phang-nga. It is surrounded by impressive, steep karst cliffs, which is why visitors want to keep their eyes on the sky.

- Tha Dan. About 8 km south of the city center of Phang-nga is the starting point for kayaking tours through the coastal mangrove landscape with bizarre islands, half-sunken caves and the Muslim pile village Ko Panyi.
- Guided boat tours in the Ao Phang-nga National Marine Park (Phang-nga Bay) with its dozen rocky karst islands, including Khao Phing Kan - the so-called James Bond Island (setting for the hiding place of the villain Francisco Scaramanga in The man with the golden gun)
