Pornichet is a city of Loire Atlantique.

Shared between Saint Nazaire and Escoublac, Pornichet is, in the middle of XIXe century, a small village of 400 inhabitants living mainly from salt harvesting, fishing and agriculture.
The popularity of sea bathing will radically transform this village.
